Additional application conditions for ASBU Psychology undergraduate students for application: Students must have completed their 5th semester in the Psychology program to be an Erasmus student. In other words, 6th, 7th, and 8th semester can be spent at a partner university.
Students (undergraduate and graduate) must take 30 ECTS courses for the semester they will spend at a partner university.
An outgoing Erasmus student must take below courses at the partner university in line with the semester they will spend abroad. If they cannot, they will be taking these courses at ASBU when they return:
PSY306 Klinik Psikoloji / Clinical Psychology
PSY314 Yetişkin Psikopatolojisi II / Adult Psychopathology II
PSY405 Psikolojide Görüşme Teknikleri / Interview Techniques in Psychology
Therefore, undergraduate students must be aware of the fact that because of spending a semester at a partner university, they may need to spend an extra semester at ASBU.
Incoming Students
If an incoming Erasmus student’s medium of instruction is not English at a partner university, the student must provide eligibility for his/her English level by submitting a YDS score over 85 or ASBÜ Yabancı Dil Yeterlik Sınavı score over 75. ** In other words, a student must have at least B1 level of English to be an incoming Erasmus student here.
Internship Mobility
Students may apply for Erasmus Internship Mobility.
Undergraduate students of the Department of Psychology can do their Erasmus internships during the summer holidays - between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the fall semester - starting from the end of the 4th semester.
Students are free to determine their internship places but need approval from the departmental Erasmus coordinator. A student can complete an Erasmus internship at a place where there is a psychologist, such as a university lab, a health care center, a human resources department, etc (just like the PSY409 Summer Practice course). Students can request their Erasmus Internship to be counted towards their PSY409 course as well.
Students need a Letter of Acceptance from the Institution they are planning to do their Internship.
